1)  Q:  How are wrinkles caused and how does Botox® work to alleviate wrinkles?

A:  A deep wrinkle is caused by skin adhering to underlying tissue. Whenever the muscle contracts, the skin is pulled down, creating a valley.  Botox®  paralyzes muscle. If the muscle can't contract, you don't see the valley.  The problem is, as soon as Botox®  wears off, the wrinkle is back!  A more sensible and permanent approach for deep wrinkles is to strengthen muscle, but also to free up the skin where it is stuck down.

CFF F offers a three-step technique for actually releasing or "detacking" the adhering skin and then teaches you how to actually rub out the wrinkle. Just as you can rub out a wrinkle in a piece of shoe leather, you can also rub out a wrinkle in the face. As with a shoe, you must place a sock under the area on which you wish to work so that you create a firm surface on which to rub out that line. You will need to be sure you always contract the muscle underneath the skin area on which you work, as well. You can read more about this topic if you click on this article I wrote about how facial exercises work.  (Back to Top)

1a) Q:  What about older, "set" wrinkles in the face and neck? How can facial exercises help with getting rid of these?

Dr. Frederick Rossiter  M.D., a professor of anatomy and physiology from the 1960's talks about how beneficial massage is to the forehead in particular and the entire face, over all. He's the one that emphasizes the importance of contracting a muscle underneath the skin before rubbing out a wrinkle. See Number 9) for more information.  Essentially he says a massage without contraction is beneficial for relaxation and circulation but not to eliminate wrinkles. He is very emphatic about keeping the muscles in contraction. He began to use this method himself in his sixties and had great results. In the meanwhile, so have we using the exercises and techniques offered in the CFF program!

Furthermore, he states that massaging the skin (the way we do in CFF) increases and improves circulation of the blood and lymph nodes in the skin and to the structural changes in the fat deposits.   When wrinkles are stubbornly set after many years, these wrinkles seem almost "rooted" in the skin and cannot be entirely erased. Such wrinkles characterize a definite microscopic change in the tissues under them.   Elastic fibers are absorbed, tiny skin muscles are absorbed, fat is absorbed at that point and so the wrinkle actually is a scar in the skin.  This is the reason why in some cases, massage will not remove the wrinkles completely. Using CFF techniques, however, you can take the wrinkle to the point where it is only a very faint line.

He goes onto to say that anyone having a fair degree of health and some determination can improve sagging tissues of the face through exercise and massage. The old saying that a machine will rust out sooner than it can be worn out, also applies to the human body.  Continued activity of physical functions keeps them in constant repair, hence promoting their longevity.  The skin is no exception to the rule. The facial and neck exercises as well as the massage one does using the CFF program will help prevent, delay and minimize wrinkles as well as tighten, firm and lift the face and neck. (Back to Top)

2)  Q:  Doesn't pulling, pushing and sliding on the skin create wrinkles and sagging?

A:  This is a good question. When you go for a massage of the body, do you have the concern that your skin is going to be wrinkled or sagging from the experience?  Of course not. Well, the same is true for the face and neck. All the pulling and sliding you do on the skin seems to stimulate collagen production and this in turn allows the skin to appear more elastic and firmer than it was before.  When you exercise the body in the gym, the skin tightens up around a contracting muscle.  So it does on the face and neck, as well and even more so than in the body, alone. Remember, one of the secrets of the CFF system is that you are sliding over the skin with a contracted muscle underneath the skin and this sliding against pressure we call muscle resistance training.  You are NOT stretching the skin, you are sliding OVER the skin building muscle fiber and shortening and toning the muscles that create lift. You can read more about this topic by clicking this ezine article I wrote on, "How Facial Exercises Firm Up the Skin".

Furthermore, because the muscles of the face are connected directly into the skin which allows us to show facial expression, the skin therefore lifts up as you tone the muscle. And, as the muscle tones and smoothes out, the wrinkles also become less deep.  That's why the CFF program has a "Rubbing Out the Wrinkle" technique to help eliminate these lines as they become shallower and wider.  This technique can help to get rid of wrinkles almost entirely.

I also know that many of the facial exercise programs ask you to "grip" and hold a spot on the face while working the muscles.  One reason for this method of exercise has to do with "isolating" the muscle and working it. Isolation exercises are on the way out in bodybuilding, if they aren't gone already.  This is an "old-fashioned" approach to body building that was once thought to be the best way to get results. Many years ago and since the advent of CFF, it has been found that working "groups" of muscles is more effective in body building and hence, also, facial and neck building. If you want to isolate the muscle, then you need to be able to "grip" that "spot" and anchor the muscle to work it.

Muscles function in groups. Isolation works against function. CFF works groups of muscles and slides a lot on the face and neck to preserve the integrity of the fascia and work these muscle groups.  This method is more "functional". Muscles are always sliding on each other. The CFF method works in the way muscles actually function. This allows the massage action to happen and is one of the reasons you have this more natural and sensual look  with CFF,  which gives a well-toned appearance as well , while preventing the bulky or lumpy look that gripping and isolating muscles on the face and neck can give.

Furthermore, since ten times more oxygen comes to a contracted muscle than not, the skins ability to absorb moisture is increased and its elasticity is enhanced.  Remember, the skin is "elastic" but it is also "alive". It does not necessarily stretch out of shape like an "inorganic" piece of elastic. The skin is a living organism.  (Back to Top)

3)  Q:  Do I have to perform all 28 facial exercises in the basic program to get the results I want or can I just exercise my "problem" areas?

A: Carolyn's Facial Fitness was designed with the consultation of a medical doctor and a professor of anatomy and physiology to be sure it was not only safe to use, but thorough and complete. It covers all 57 muscles of the face and neck. My background in teaching has allowed me to design a program that is easy to learn and easy to use. I tell you this, because our research indicates that all the muscles are inter-related to one another. You must perform all 28 basic facial exercises in order to create the results you want. Both men and women have the same physiology of the face. Be aware that spot exercising can result in an uneven, lumpy or bulky looking face.

For example, you must build the muscles in the front of the neck in order to lift the jowls and even hooded eyelids, properly.  Since CFF was scientifically designed to give you the most beautiful/handsome build on the face and neck, possible, you will definitely want the benefits from performing the whole 15-minute workout!  Furthermore, if one only exercises, say, the eyes and the eyes firm up and lift, the rest of the face looks noticeably hanging - it may look worse by comparison. So, YES!  You need to do the basic 28 facial exercises to create a well-rounded, even, firm and youthful "look".  (Back to Top)

4)  Q:  What about my problem areas?  Will only exercising with the 28 basic facial exercises address these areas, as well?

A: Many people are able to address their problem areas only performing the 28 exercises in the basic program. That is, only performing those exercises that are in Part 1 and 2 of the DVD.  However, with that said, once you have established your foundation (takes about 3 months to do this) you can simply perform at the end of the workout either one of the exercises for that specific area from the foundational 28 facial exercises or you can choose to perform one of the exercises from the bonus exercises offered in the Workbook and Newsletters, as well.  For example, if you feel you have crows feet lines you want to address with more vigor, you can perform the "Crows Feet" exercise from the basic 28 one more time during the day, on top of your usual workout. This will take you about 30 seconds added to your basic 15 minute work out. The target card that comes with the flashcards in the Full Kit, lists which exercises are best for a specific part of the face or neck.

Spot exercising can result in an uneven and bulky-looking face. Both men and women have the same physiology of the face. Keeping that in mind, the CFF facial exercise program was designed to give an elegant, even and balanced look to the face and neck when performed in its entirety. That means you need to first always workout with the basic program and facial massage, called the Face Firmer (takes about 1 minute to perform) before adding any spot exercises for those stubborn areas.    (Back to Top)

5)  Q:  How can you guarantee that the basic workout is only 15 minutes long?

A:  After you have gone through the learning period, using the DVD and you know the facial exercises by heart, you will be lying down for your workout. Gravity will help to give you more speedy results from lying down. You will actually be building muscle fiber, now and you will "feel" that the exercises are a whole lot stronger as you need to lift and hold your head for a few of the exercises once you're prone!  I had a problem remembering all 28 exercises in the beginning, as well. When I tried to "fit in" some of the facial exercises during the day, I never managed to perform the entire routine during that day.  I wasn't performing the whole program as it had been designed, so, I decided to address this issue.

I made a CD that talked me through the facial exercises at a rhythm that gave the maximum benefit in the least amount of time. I just knew that 15 minutes was the limit I was willing to spend on my face. This CD is 15 minutes long.  After awhile, I was really tired of hearing all the counting, so I made a second Final CD that was the same as the first, Pacing CD, only without the counting. So, now I had a CD that told me when the next exercise was to be performed, had the right interval for me to practice the facial exercise, it told me when to lift, turn, hold and even change sides and not drive me "nuts" with counting. This Final CD is also, of course, only 15 minutes long.

So, if you use the CDs that come with both Kits, you will have only a 15-minute workout guaranteed!   (Back to Top)

6)  How come I can't perform some of the facial exercises from the beginning as stated?

A:  In the beginning you will be attempting to exercise muscles that have not been asked to move in probably years! So, when one of the directions in the CFF program is to contract your lower eyelid, you may find that you squint with your whole eye, instead. This is only natural. It will take a few days to gain control over the muscle and be able to isolate it. The trick is to keep trying to contract that bottom eyelid and within 2 weeks (at the very outside) you will find that you can isolate, flex and hold that lower eyelid and the rest of the face doesn't move. Congratulations!  You are now flushing toxins from under the eye and alleviating dark circles.

Remember that "easy is right".  Take your time. You may also find that you can't perform all the repetitions as stated. For example, the Neck Strengthener is looking with the eyes, far left over the shoulder and far right. Sitting up this is easy. Lying down, you will be asked to lift your head up off the floor, half an inch or so, and look far left and far right. In the beginning, I could only do about four turns and that was it. Every day, I added one more until I could easily do the 40 turns advised. I did this slowly and deliberately, over time. I knew that this exercise was building the muscles in the front of my neck and that this would help to lift my jowls and hanging eyelids. What a great motivation!  Just go slowly, keep trying to perform the facial exercise and eventually, you will find you can easily isolate a muscle and move it at will. (Back to Top)

7)  Q:  How is Carolyn's Facial Fitness different from other programs on the market today?

A:  First, a little background. When I first discovered facial exercises , I ordered one book about facial exercises  to try them out. This book of exercises gave me a little toning of the face, but not much else. So, I researched further. I bought another book and then I bought another program and every time, each book or program offered something new and some new result. However, no one program gave me the result I wanted. Remember I was already 52 years old, having just lost about 50 pounds and I needed "help".

To make a long story short, I finally designed my own program. I found that muscle resistance  training actually built muscle fiber that created lift and isometrics as well as a few other exercises toned the skin and the muscles, further creating lift. This was very important to me as I really needed a lot of lift in the jowl area, especially.  I had now accumulated lots of facial exercises. So, I started to exercise with around 56 exercises that took me almost 90 minutes to finish. Not only was I afraid of spot exercising resulting in an uneven or awkward-looking build, this was way too much time invested for me. I knew I'd never keep it up. I lasted about 2 weeks.

Next, I studied and studied and consulted two friends of mine, a medical doctor and a professor of anatomy and physiology. It took awhile…I had to test all of the facial exercises individually to see how they built the face. Both men and women have the same physiology of the face.  I finally found the right combination that addressed all 57 muscles of the face as well as the neck. So many programs neglected the neck. Finally, I was able to put it all together into a 15-minute workout.

I have several university degrees.  I love research. Today I own over 70 books and programs - all about facial exercising . This is not to count the many articles I've read and saved, as well. I continue to test all the facial exercises on a group of 6 people of different gender, ages and ethnicity.  I offer these facial exercises to my clients through bonus exercises and Newsletters, as well as articles and I can say with confidence that I have designed a program that I feel is the best of the best in facial and neck exercises. I also demonstrate all 28 facial exercises that make-up the complete program in a friendly, easy to use DVD format. I didn't find any other facial exercise program that offered this important learning device the way I do. They either offered only a portion of the facial exercises or they offered a DVD demonstration that is not user friendly. That I was able to present the entire workout in a 15-minute time period was also very important to me.

So, to finally answer your question…. Carolyn's Facial Fitness  is a complete program that uses every technique and type of face exercise I could research, change, improve and redesign, put into a 15-minute program that gives the best looking build on the face and neck. A look of strength, elegance, youth and beauty.  As well, my program is easy to learn and easy to use. Along with the DVD, you also get motivational CDs so you always have my voice to talk you through the entire workout in only 15 minutes.  There's even color photo-illustrated techniques for rubbing out wrinkles and a facial massage that guarantees the face stays in balance. Lying down to do the exercises is also essential for good results. Gravity helps instead of hinders! These are all elements I did not find in any one program but my own, CFF (Back to Top)

8)  Q:  How long before I see results?

A: You can see some obvious improvement after two weeks. That tired look we sometimes get as we age, goes first. In another three months, people usually start to tell you how good you look. Within six to nine months you can look five to ten years younger than you were before and a year later people may start to ask you, " What are you doing to look so young?" Of course, the younger you are the faster results.  The wrinkles are deeper the older you are and the skin may be less firm.   It takes a bit longer to bring it back with facial exercises.

Here's a letter from one of my clients who has been doing facial exercises for 11 months:

"I can't tell you how many people over the past 6 months have commented on how good I look, but to me the most important thing is how I feel.
At first when I tried your program I was afraid it was stretching my skin, that's how much sag I had....and I didn't think it was that out of shape. I never stuck with many plans but this one makes me feel good in the morning. The texture of my skin holds moisture so much better, lines in the forehead (which were really noticeable to me) almost gone, lips getting fullness back. Before I started the exercises I would wake up and the corners of my mouth were in a frown, it was from a sleep...I had no control of it. I was afraid I was trying to have a stroke or something. I think now it was just weak muscles, I no longer have that problem.
My friend who I haven't seen in about 3-4 years saw me today and asked if I had a facelift. A guy I work with, about 4 months after I started your program asked how I continue to get younger.
I wasn't obsessed with looking younger just feeling better about myself, this does both.
I started an exercise program last March. I asked my personal trainer if there were any facial exercises, he said not too much you can do about that. I researched on my own and found your site, and it truly paid off.
I will be moving soon to WA, near Seattle and I hope I can have the opportunity to meet you and thank you. I wish I would have found your site while my mom was still alive, it really does give a person a new and positive outlook.  Thank you!"

Another client of mine, age 69 had been exercising her face and neck for 6 months. She visited a clothing store she hadn't been to for almost a year. The clerk remembered her well from the past and couldn't get over how much younger she was looking. The clerk asked her if she had a facelift!  So, while the results are individual, you can truly realize results within half a year. Consistency with doing the exercises, three to five times a week is a key to getting the results you want.

There are no awkward stages with the CFF facial exercise program. Instead, you can expect "youth jumps".  That is every three months or so you will look a little bit younger and firmer than you did before. These jumps go on for two or three years and then they get further apart. I even had a youth jump after ten years of exercising the face. Amazing!  You can see how this worked for me, here!   (Back to Top)

9)  Q:  Can I damage my skin or make wrinkles doing the Rubbing the Wrinkles Out Technique?

A: There is that possibility if you don't follow the directons that include the following instruction.  Always be sure that the muscle underneath the wrinkle you want to rub out is contracted as you work. Always be sure to put the "dreaded" wrinkle between the "V" shape of your fingers and then rub. These two steps, first of all insure that you have a stationery platform on which to work as well as keeping the skin completely immobile. Then, you must also go very slowly at first. While it is true that the friction helps to rub out the wrinkle, you might try moisturizing the area in the beginning. It's very easy to make an abrasion. You can apply this technique to any wrinkle on your face or neck except NOT around the thin skin of the eyes. Rub in the same direction as the wrinkle as opposed to perpendicular to the wrinkle.

As you rub out the wrinkle, you may notice that the wrinkle is getting wider and flatter. The wrinkle is not getting bigger, it is becoming more shallow.  Just persevere and in time the wrinkle will either totally disappear or become very faint. (Go here  and here for more about wrinkles)  (Back to Top)

10)  Q:  Why is muscle resistance training so important to your facial exercise program?

A:  Muscle resistance training actually builds muscle fiber that creates lift. As we age, we lose the underlying layer of fat just beneath the skin. The loss of this fat is one of the reasons we look older and tired as we age. It's probably responsible for the majority of facial sagging.  As you exercise the face, you actually enlarge the muscles, giving the appearance of a fuller more youthful look.  While isometrics will tone the face, neck and skin, which is also part of the CFF program, they just won't give a real build on the face that muscle resistance training can give.

As well, the increased circulation of blood can be as much as ten times greater than normal when you contract a muscle. Facial exercises allow more oxygen and more nutrients to reach the cells of the skin.  Damaged cells are swept away.  The result is a clear, healthy skin with good color. The muscles on the face are attached from the bone directly into another muscle or the skin. This allows us to make facial expression. It also means the skin lifts as the muscle tones and regains its original shape.  In the body, the muscles are mostly connected bone to bone. Therefore, you will see faster results on the face and neck than in the body as you build the muscles up.

So, to achieve the results you want, I had to base my program on muscle resistance training. I also had to include isometrics and exercises that actually tone the muscles
(see number 14b) as in the jowl area in order to allow the elegant, graceful, youthful and powerful look I wanted to realize.

When you use muscle resistance training with facial exercises, you are tensing the muscles and working them against pressure. The muscle becomes toned overall, which means it's either bigger because you're building muscle fiber or shorter because you're literally shortening the muscle fiber. This can be seen with rounder, higher, firmer cheeks and jowls that lift up, as well. With muscle resistance, you lift and straighten out the "damage" you've done over a lifetime by frowning or laughing or moving a muscle repetitively in only one direction. The key is to tone the muscle through muscle resistance training. You are not only releasing the stuck down wrinkle and literally ironing it out, you are also building the muscle back up to it's evenness it had when you were young.  As the muscle regains tone,  your wrinkles smooth out and your face lifts up.  Your face and neck regain that vital, firm, youthful look of your youth. (Back to Top)

11)  Q:  Is your program only corrective or is it also preventive?

A:  The exercises are preventive as well as corrective. The younger you start the more chance you have of ever developing the "sagginess" and wrinkles of old age.  You will see results much faster the younger you are, of course. You have less to lift and build.  Wrinkles are usually less deep, so they respond quickly to being rubbed away.

12)  Q:  Why are there exercises for the nostrils and ears?

A:  Cartilage continues to grow as we age. Take a look at older people and you'll notice that some of their noses are getting a bit lumpy or their ears are actually losing their shape. You cannot only prevent this from happening as you age, you can correct this condition if it's happening to you with those exercises in the CFF program.

13)  Q:  What if I stop facial exercises?

A: Not to worry. Muscles have memory. If you have been exercising the face for say, three years and stop and gravity does it's "thing" … you can just start exercising again and within a couple of months you'll be back to where you were at the three year mark. If you don't like a certain build an exercise is giving your face, simply stop doing that exercise and the muscle will go down. It's that simple. It's that natural. (Back to Top)

14)  Q:  Can I over-build the face and what are the short-term effects from doing the exercises?

A: You will notice with all of the exercises that in the beginning you will see either a lifting or a tightening of the area you're working on... your neck for example. It will lift and/or tighten and this effect will last for a few minutes to a few hours until it lasts all day and then is "permanently" lifted. The longer you do the exercises, the longer the lift will hold during the day. After a while, THAT area is lifted and stays lifted. It's so much fun. The opposite is true as well. This is why when you stop doing the exercises, after awhile, you will lose this lift and tightening and go back to where you were "before" you began. The longer you've been doing them, the longer it takes to go "back". However, since muscles have memory, if you do slack off from the exercises after doing them for say... three years... and gravity starts to work, all you have to do are the exercises again and within a month or two, you'll be back to where you were at the three year mark. The muscles remember. It's very nice! And of course, this is one more reason why facial exercises claim to be "natural".

Just a note about the "natural claim". You must also remember that with surgery, the muscles of the face are often moved and placed in a different spot on the face, to give the look of higher cheekbones, for example. As you age, you can look distorted over time. With facial exercises, you actually build muscle fiber, creating the look of higher cheekbones - only these "cheeks" are in the right place on your face and the look is natural, younger, firmer and more beautiful/handsome.  This means you'll age well, too.

This is also one reason you don't have to worry about over-building the face or neck. If you find one particular exercise does not build the face the way you want, you just stop doing it... the "look" you didn't want disappears. For example, there is an exercise out "there" I found in many facial exercise programs. It's when you put your index fingers in the corners of the mouth and pucker your lips and pull back with the fingers to create resistance. I thought it would be great for attacking the puckers that form in the corners of the mouth. Well....  when I did it for any length of time, it built the muscles around the "marionette lines" in such a way it gave me the look of an "ape". I STOPPED it as soon as I saw this build and after three to four weeks, it finally subsided and gave me back the look I wanted. I secretly call it the "ape mouth" exercise. I do not have this exercise any where in my program. I found that "The Kiss" and the "Mouth Pouch Lifter" give the look I want and lift up the pouches in the corners just fine! This is why all the exercises in CFF are beta tested for six months before they go into my course. I want the look that Yoga and Pilates can give to the body... to give to the face - that young, elegant, balanced, firm look (Back to Top)

14a)  Q:  Can massaging the skin on the face and neck cause damage?
14b)
Q:  How does a muscle get toned properly?

A:  There are two layers of skin; the dermis and the epidermis.  Then there is another layer under these, called the subcutaneous layer. All these layers together are essentially the thickness of typing paper on the face.  This subcutaneous layer also contains fat. Hence, it's often called the subcutaneous layer of fat. If you pinch and roll this layer you can actually break it down, causing damage.  You should not beat it up.  Instead, you can gently work the face through massage and exercise, keeping in mind that "gentle" is the key word here and something miraculous happens. The CFF program offers a safe, effective facial massage. But first a little talk about how the muscles attach in the body and in the face.

Muscles do attach from bone to bone in the body, essentially and from the bone directly into the skin on the face. In the western culture where we show a lot of emotions on our face and therefore habitually create expression, we tend to create lines on our faces. We are not creating lines in the muscles, but rather we're creating lines in this subcutaneous layer.. the analogy being as if you were to "score" cardboard… we tend to "score" this subcutaneous layer and the lines are created as we repeat a particular expression over and over again.

Now, it's a well known fact that men who shave regularly have fewer wrinkles on the whole than women who do not shave their faces. Why is that?  Obviously, men are creating expressions as often as women do. Well, a couple of things are to be considered. First of all, men are gently exercising their faces as they shave, working the muscle in both directions, often stretching skin as they do it, as well. They are also creating a "rubbing kind of massage" as they glide the blade over their faces, necks and areas around their lips.  Not only are they therefore exfoliating their skin, that is removing dead skin cells, this process gently plumps the tissue as more fluid moves into this subcutaneous layer and the lines created through expression are filled and appear to look less prominent. You can sometimes even feel this fluid being pumped back into the tissue as a burning sensation, especially around the lips when performing some of the exercises in the CFF program.

A deep wrinkle is caused by skin being stuck down to underlying tissue. Whenever that muscle contracts, the wrinkle is pulled down, creating a valley. Through Carolyn's Facial Fitness exercises, you actually employ a technique that releases this tacked down "wrinkle" and you can literally gently rub out fine lines and make deeper lines less visible. See #1a) for more information.  As well, you are also using muscle resistance training that is working the muscles against resistance of the face and neck giving the appearance of youth as you build muscle fiber and create lift.

The goal here is to "tone" the muscles properly. Muscles have an optimal length when properly toned to their axis or center. Muscles develop when they overcome resistance. To have a well-toned face you want the muscle to regain its original length that has been lost due to age, gravity, time or special circumstances that are usually environmental in nature, like sun damage.

If you over-train the muscles of the face they may become "hyper-toned" or bulky looking. An over-trained face and neck are going to lack smooth contours. The muscles of the face do not always build with the same enthusiasm. Some areas build faster than other areas. With CFF we are training our faces and neck for a "balanced facial physique". No training at all means some atrophy of the muscles, etc... And we are all aware of what that looks like!

With the combination of building muscle fiber, pumping more fluid into the subcutaneous layer, allowing the skin to firm up around the contracted muscles and releasing wrinkles in your face,  you have a firmer, fuller more contoured face and neck with less prominent lines. You actually look years younger than you are. It's a kind of illusion that works and is a great alternative to expensive Botox®  which may result in atrophying the muscles beyond repair over time or fillers and plastic surgery that often give an artificial look to the face. Carolyn's Facial Fitness facial exercises enhance what you already have, let you age gracefully and will give you back the contours and softness of youth you thought you'd never see again.  (Back to Top)

15)  Q:  Will performing the exercises twice a day bring a faster result?

A:  We have tested the exercises twice a day over several months and found that the results were not very forth coming. We also found performing the exercises once a day, five times a week, giving the face and neck two days a week rest brought not only faster results but ended in a more elegant, balanced look to the face and neck. As well, lying down and doing the exercises also brought not only fast results, but better results than performing the exercises only sitting up. Click here, Number 17) for more information.   (Back to Top)

16)  Q:  Does it matter what time of day I do the exercises?  Must I do them in the order given?

A:  It doesn't make any difference what time of day you do them.  I always suggest to my clients that they try and do them at the same time every day ... but this is so a routine is established and one therefore finds it's easier to DO THE EXERCISES.  My old schoolteacher rearing her "easiest-way-to-do-your-homework, head".  Snicker.

I like to do the exercises in the morning when I first wake up.  I set my alarm clock 15 minutes earlier and play the Final CD for talking me through the exercises.  Since the CD is only 15 minutes long, I'm done and on my way in no time.  When I tried to fit them in, I was not successful.  I needed a schedule. Other people insist that it's best to do them in the evening before you go to bed ... that sleeping "on the exercises"  gives a faster result.  They claim that one should "rest on the exercises" and they are then, therefore more effective.

It also doesn't matter in which order you do the exercises. Just that you do ALL of them so you're working all the groups of muscles necessary to give you the most beautiful, handsome, elegant and contoured look you can get from the CFF program.
